1. accumulative sentence (ver consecutive sentence)

2. consecutive sentence - "Tony Yayo was serving consecutive sentences in prison for weapons possession and passport fraud charges." Tradução: penas cumulativas

3. alternative sentencence - "Alternative sentences are given to nonviolent criminals." Tradução: pena alternativa

4. blended sentence - "The judge's options: a life sentence in prison, a juvenile facility going free at age 21, or a so-called blended sentence -- the juvenile facility until age 21 and then the possibility of adult time, if he was still considered dangerous." Tradução: pena mista

5. concurrent sentences - "The formula, approved by Curran in March 1990, applied only to prisoners serving overlapping concurrent sentences." Tradução: pena concorrente

6. conditional sentence - "New options consisting of a conditional waiver of punishment with probation or a conditional sentence with probation have been introduced into the system as well." Tradução: [suspenção] condicional da pena

7. creative sentence (ver alternative sentence)

8. death sentence - "The man who shot Justin Hurst has been tried for capital murder of a peace officer, convicted and given a death sentence." Tradução: pena de morte

9. deferred sentence - "[L]listen to the judge's recitation of your rights as a defendant, wait your turn to plead guilty, and accept an offer of deferred sentence on condition of six months good behavior." Tradução: suspensão condicional da pena

10. delayed sentence - "The purpose of a delayed sentence is to give the defendant an opportunity to satisfy the trial court that he or she can fairly be placed on probation instead of sentenced to prison."² Tradução: suspensão condicional da pena
